Federal Programs Accounting

The Federal Programs Accounting Department oversees the accounting of all Federal programs (and some state programs); assists in handling purchase orders for these programs; works with Federal Programs staff to develop budgets for each program, and creates and inputs into the computer the budget detail that is included in the system budget and budget amendments; monitors budgets throughout year and provides reports to Federal Programs staff; prepares cash request and reimbursement forms for the SDE and other custodial agencies; assists in development of the Consolidated Application; reviews monthly preliminary payroll reports for budgeting and coding accuracy; and assists coordinators and supervisors in making sure funds are spent according to applicable regulations and guidelines
